Diligence Gap Finder

Find the questions the supplied pack still cannot answer.

Check claims, conflicting figures and missing evidence, then prepare a prioritised question and evidence-request register.

Copy into ChatGPT or Claude, or install the ZIP in Claude. No coding required.

What you supply

Your material, in plain language.

A memo, proposal or reporting extract, plus the decision the review needs to support.

Pasted notes or uploaded documents work. No live system connection is required.

What you get

A structured result for review.

The material questions to resolve, why they matter, and exactly what evidence would close each gap.

Facts stay linked to sources. Missing dates, owners and evidence remain visible.

fictional worked example

Revenue grew 25%. Do the figures support the claim?

The supplied numbers imply 20% growth before an adjustment and 16% after it. The review asks for a reconciliation and signed audit evidence without inventing a fraud finding or investment recommendation.

Illustrative output, not a customer result. Your result will depend on the material and AI model you use.

# Fictional example: operating-company reporting pack

We are preparing questions before relying on this operating company's reporting pack. We are not asking whether to invest.

S1 — Management summary, 20 September 2026: FY2025 revenue was AUD 12 million, up 25% from FY2024's AUD 10 million. Customer concentration is low. The top customer represents 35% of FY2025 revenue. FY2025 accounts are audited.

S2 — Finance note, 22 September 2026: FY2025 revenue was AUD 11.6 million after a year-end adjustment. The management summary has not yet been updated. A draft balance sheet is attached; the signed audit report was not included in this extract.

S3 — Revenue table: FY2024 AUD 10 million; FY2025 AUD 12 million, before the adjustment. No customer breakdown or adjustment schedule supplied.

Diligence gaps: operating-company reporting pack

Purpose: questions before relying on the pack, not an investment decision. Scope: supplied management summary, finance note and revenue table. Latest supplied date: 22 September 2026.

What the material establishes

The pack reports AUD 10m FY2024 revenue and two different FY2025 figures: AUD 12m before adjustment [S1, S3] and AUD 11.6m after adjustment [S2]. It does not establish which figure is signed off. Management reports 35% top-customer concentration and calls the accounts audited [S1]; neither is independently verified by this extract.

Questions that matter first

  1. Which FY2025 revenue figure is authoritative, and what explains the AUD 0.4m adjustment? Resolve before relying on growth or revenue [S1–S3].
  2. Why does the summary state 25% growth? AUD 12m versus AUD 10m gives 20%; AUD 11.6m versus AUD 10m gives 16%, assuming matching periods and accounting basis [S1–S3].
  3. Can you supply the signed audit report and the statements it covers? Resolve before relying on the audited claim. A missing report in this extract does not prove there was no audit [S1, S2].
  4. What supports the “low” concentration description, and is the 35% denominator before or after adjustment? Request evidence rather than applying an invented benchmark [S1, S2].

Conflicts and calculations

Pre-adjustment growth: (12 − 10) ÷ 10 = 20%. Post-adjustment scenario: (11.6 − 10) ÷ 10 = 16%. Difference: 12 − 11.6 = AUD 0.4m. These calculations assume comparable annual periods and revenue recognition; confirm that basis before use. The 25% claim remains unresolved.

Limits of this review

Only three supplied extracts were reviewed. The signed audit report, customer breakdown and adjustment schedule were not supplied for this review; their existence is unknown. No fraud finding, legal opinion or investment conclusion follows from these gaps.

Evidence register

S1: Management summary, 20 September 2026, supplied paragraph, management claims. S2: Finance note, 22 September 2026, supplied paragraph, adjusted revenue claim and audit-report absence in extract. S3: Revenue table, date not supplied, pre-adjustment figures. All data is fictional.
